Taking AIM
When members of AIMCo's organizing committee met earlier this year to make plans for the fall campaign, they decided to set their goals high. They knew they would be breaking new ground by achieving levels of participation never reached before but they were determined that with the right campaign, they would be successful. Little did anyone know or suspect that the program would not only be successful, but would far exceed everyone's expectations.
At the "official" wind-up of the campaign at the AIMCo Christmas Dinner Dance on November 27th, the numbers were announced. The 2009 AIMCo United Way Goal of $26,100 had not only been reached....it had almost been doubled! The latest number of pledges and funds raised from a host of activities (pancake breakfast, Pizza Lunch, Jeans to Work days, 50/50 & a silent auction) totals more than $50,000!
AIMCo also held a product drive during their campaign to gather items such as clothing and toiletries to help those in our community that need it.
Everyone came together and worked hard to make this a tremendous success.
